My favorite sound

One of my favorite sounds in the world is the ocean. When people say the cliche “Go to your happy place,” I think of the waves. The Ocean is, in my opinion, one of God’s most beautiful creations. I love the sound of the sea, the way you can see all the way to the edge of the earth. I love the smell of sea grass. I love the salty taste of the water. I love seeing little kids just discovering the water for the first time. I love seeing the light houses searchlights over the water in the dark. I love the boardwalk. I love how sunsets and sunrises seem so much more perfect coming over the ocean.

I think my soul was meant to be there. It’s where I feel most like myself.

I like to think I could walk all the way to the ocean and spend the rest of my life living in a quiet house on the beach, writing and being blissfully happy.

There is nothing like living on an island.

The solitude.
The sound of waves lapping against the shore.
The flight of birds diving for a catch.
It please the senses and rest the soul.
